The HUAWEI Mate40 Pro, the ultimate 5G performance king with stellar videography, is now available on the HUAWEI Online Store, and selected retail stores priced at R19999. The latest flagship smartphone from the brand, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro showcases the pinnacle of Huawei technology with the world’s first 5nm 5G chipset, an iconic Space Ring design and an all-scenario Ultra Vision Cine Camera for cinema-like videography.

Boasting the latest and most innovative of Huawei’s technological developments, the HUAWEI Mate40 Pro raises the bar of chipset performance with its Kirin 9000 5G chipset with 5G Super Uplink, in a size of just 5nm. Graphics quality is enhanced with the 24-core Mali-G78 while overall performance is complemented by better power efficiency. It also comes in an iconic Space Ring design that provides a futuristic look. Upfront, the 88°Curved immersive HUAWEI Horizon Display allows for an immersive viewing experience like never before, while its stunning colours of Mystic Silver and Black complete the look. In terms of camera setup, the HUAWEI Mate40 Pro comes with the Ultra Vision Cine Camera setup which consists of a 12MP Periscope Telephoto Camera with 5x optical zoom, a 50MP Super Sensing Wide Camera, a 20MP Ultra Wide Cine Camera and a Laser sensor. This setup paves the way for extraordinary videography that is shot in 4K with XD Fusion HDR with features like Super Steady video, Tracking Shot, Wide angle anti-distortion, Story Creator and more, each of them designed to bring a cinematic video making experience. This is topped off with its capability for low light shots and 50x digital zoom. Meanwhile, upfront, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro comes with a 3D Depth Sensing Camera and a 13MP Ultra Vision Selfie Camera which allows for 4K Ultra-Wide video, slow-mo and dual-view shots along with Audio Zoom and Auto focus features creating a much more creative vlogging experience. 

In regards to battery power, the HUAWEI Mate40 Pro boasts the fastest in HUAWEI SuperCharge, both wired and wirelessly. It comes with a 66W Wired HUAWEI SuperCharge, while the wireless option comes in 50W, allowing for super-fast charging in both ways. Long battery life however, is promised by the 4400 mAh long lasting 5G battery.

The HUAWEI Mate40 Pro also steps things up in terms of intelligent interaction solutions. With the new Smart Gesture control, users can easily control the device hands-free. Users can wake up the phone by simply hovering their hand over it and navigate it by swiping left, right, up and down. There is also an air press gesture for call answering. Meanwhile, the new dynamic Eyes On Display (EOD) turns on with a glance with the customizable interactive display hosting all the information needed.

Security concerns are also tackled with EMUI 11’s comprehensive security solutions which include the highest certification level security microkernel, Trusted Execution Environment OS with CC EAL5+ certification and a wide range of new privacy features that give the user complete control.
