Saturday's weather: Cloudy conditions in some parts of the country, fine and cool elsewhere

The South African Weather Service predicted cloudy conditions, with fog patches, in several regions across the country.

Elsewhere, fine and cool to warm temperatures are expected.

The weather in your region

Partly cloudy and cool conditions are expected for Gauteng, with warm temperatures forecast in the extreme north.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

Mpumalanga will have morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and cool, but warm in places in the Lowveld.

There will be cloudy conditions in the east overnight.

Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the south-east.

Partly cloudy and cool to warm temperatures are forecast for Limpopo.

The North West and the Free State can expect cloudy conditions in the east at first, otherwise it will be partly cloudy, with cool to warm temperatures.

Fine and warm conditions are forecast in the Northern Cape, but it will be cool in the south.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh south-easterly, becoming moderate in the north from the evening.

The Western Cape will be fine and cool.

The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate easterly to south-easterly, becoming south-westerly in the evening.

It will be fresh to strong along the south-west.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

Cloudy conditions, with fog patches in places in the south, is expected for the western half of the Eastern Cape, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and cool.

The eastern half of the province will be cloudy, with fog in places over the interior, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and cool, with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the north.

The wind along the eastern and western coast will be a light north-westerly, becoming a light south-easterly in the late morning.

KwaZulu-Natal will have morning fog patches over the south-western parts, otherwise partly cloudy and cool conditions are forecast, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate westerly to south-westerly, becoming south-easterly to easterly from the afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.
