The judge presiding over the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has apologised for utterances he made referencing the behaviour of some "black lawyers".
As court proceedings got underway on Friday morning in the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng took a moment to speak about the events that played out in court on Wednesday.
News24 previously reported that after learning about defence attorney Thulani Mngomezulu's non-appearance and his failure to alert the court about it beforehand, Mokgoatlheng was visibly upset.
