As 28-year-old Millet Ben Haim hid under a bush in the Negev desert in southern Israel for six hours, with the sounds of bullets whistling overhead and the footsteps of armed Hamas fighters coming closer, she prayed one simple prayer.
"I prayed for a rocket to hit me because it was clear to me that if they find me, they will [in all likelihood] rape me," said Ben Haim.
Ben Haim is one of the survivors of the Nova music festival, which was targeted in a Hamas attack on 7 October last year. During the attack at Kibbutz Re'im more than 360 people were killed and a number of others taken hostage.
