Awelani Mukwevo has to find a way to get enough water for her household in Mathuli Village, Limpopo, every morning.
She either must buy it or scoop up some water with a plastic bottle from the top of an open borehole pipe near the Thavha River.
The water shortage was because only one public borehole in Nthabalala, Elim, was fully functioning, according to John Makamu, the Nthabalala tribal coordinator.
