The South African government is working to enhance broadband penetration and connectivity in rural communities through its SA Connect initiative, with the goal to connect over 5 million South African households in the next three years.
This is according to Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Philly Mapulane, in his keynote address at this year’s Ministerial Forum on Building Future Oriented Infrastructure for Africa ahead of the Africa Tech Festival 2023.
