Singapore again delivered all the spills and drama as it welcomed Formula 1 back for the first time since 2019. The race was initially delayed by two hours following heavy downpours, but when the action got under way, no one could have predicted how crazy the race would turn out.

Sergio Perez got a brilliant start off the line, getting the jump on Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and keeping the lead throughout. Leclerc tried the entire race long to pass Perez, but the Red Bull driver had plenty of pace in the bag and could even extract more pace in the race's closing stages.

Max Verstappen had a tough race and fell down the order from eighth when the race started. He eventually raced up the order to as high as fifth, but a mistimed overtaking opportunity on McLaren's Lando Norris saw him lock his Red Bull's brakes. He eventually came home in seventh.
