EFC Bantamweight Champion Faeez Jacobs has gone the extra mile during the weigh-in for his title defending fight against Sylvester Chipfumbu.
Following a lengthy layoff due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the EFC will make a remarkable return on Saturday, 8 May.
Without any fans in attendance, the EFC 85 weigh-in took place at the EFC Performance Institute in Paulshof, Johannesburg.
The 23-year-old Jacobs arrived at the weigh-in with a painted message for UFC boss Dana White all across the front of his body as he took to the stage.
The message, painted in black, said, 'Dana White watch my fight' as he stood gallantly on the scale at 60.5kgs (133.6lbs) ahead of the much-anticipated fight.
There will be 11 fights on the day.
Jacobs and Chipfumbu face off against each other in the main card at 18:00 (SA time), which will broadcast live on the official EFC Facebook page.
"I came here for a fight, and that is what I am going to do. I will finish Sylvester," said Jacobs on the EFC website, who has a 7-2-0 [W-L-D] record - five wins by knockout, one by submission and one by decision. He has also lost by submission and knockout.
Meanwhile, Chipfumbu, 26, weighed in at 61.1kgs (134.8lbs) and vowed to defeat Jacobs on Saturday.
"Where I come from, a man doesn’t get a second chance. I am going to show you why I am the new champion, no doubt," said Chipfumbu, who holds a 6-3-0 record – one win by submission, two by knockout and three victories by decision.
"Don't call him a champion; he is an interim champion. I will be the undisputed champion."
