Transitioning from long hair to short hair can be a difficult decision that needs much thought.
Different women have different reasons why they go short. For some, it might be due to health reasons, for others it might be because they want to save a receding hairline.
Fashion designer and stylist Odirile 'Odi' Tlhoaele told TRUELOVE that short hair is the go-to look for maintaining a 'baddie aesthetic'.
"Shorter hair makes your face stand out. Not a lot of people can rock short hair. So, if you are able to [rock short hair] it shouts, 'oh, she's dangerous like that'," Odi explained.
Besides looking like a style risk taker, Odi adds that short hair is more affordable and easier to maintain.
She did, however, highlight that South Africa has minimal short wig styles as compared to the U.S. and she looks forward to hairstylists coming up with new short wig ranges.
