Today's post is inspired by the innovative and free-spirited style of New York fashionista Leandra Medine of Manrepeller.com. To me, her style can be summed up as a street style take on Mediterranean classics. I am seriously obsessed with her outfits. Always something new and fresh to consider.
Now, to copy some of her looks can be tricky. To make things a bit easier I've rounded up 10 of her best Instagram posts in an attempt to guide you through this hot and sticky season.
1. Add a touch of wow with tassels or fringe. It's playful, dreamy and can make your outfit come alive.
2. Ear parties! Invest in statement earrings, these will elevate any outfit.
3. White dresses. Easy, breezy and so chic. Crisp white dresses are the perfect summer look. Add a pair of gladiator sandals, a pair of sunnies and off you go to drinks!
4. Off the shoulder tops. They are just so now. Wear them with cut-offs jeans or a pair of black chiffon trousers. So versatile, and so sexy.
5. Bell-sleeves add a bit of drama to a look. Be sure to downplay the rest of your outfit when you're working them sleeves.
6. Always take a shirt: to the beach, a festival, even to sundowners. This is the perfect complement to every outfit.
7. Flares. Pair a high-waisted flare with a white shirt or a crop top for instant sophistication.
8. Sandals. This season it's all about lace-ups, sliders and gladiators.
9. Keep it simple. Pair a jean short with a white tee and add some block heels and mad accessories.
10. Arm party. Decorate that arm with elaborate, colourful, locally-designed pieces.
