Last night, Universal Pictures and Focus Features formally announced the news confirming that Charlie Hunnam will play the male lead, Christian Grey while Dakota Johnson will take on the role of Anastasia.
Although these two aren’t household names just yet, we have a feeling this movie may just land them their big break.
You may recognise Charlie from the television series, Sons of Anarchy or the blockbuster movie, Pacific Rim.
Dakota is most famously known for her scene on The Social Network with Justin Timberlake and as Kate on the short-lived sitcom, Ben and Kate.
We must say we were expecting a more high-profile announcement, but don’t want to rule these two out just yet. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how they do!
