Seventies-inspired embroidered and bold printed dresses are very much of the moment. And adding a bit of colour, fun and whimsy to your summer wardrobe can only be a good thing. Fashion blogger Amy Scheepers chats about her plans for 2016, while simultaneously owning this stunning bell-sleeve LENNI dress:
This year could just turn out to be quite a big one for me as Jedd, Neville, and I have some big plans of moving abroad in a few months time.
I have, however, decided not to make any grand resolutions of change because I have the will power of a sock, and also, I will probably forget them in a week's time. So instead, here’s 5 things I can’t wait for in 2016:
1. Being more of a girl boss
I’m starting 2016 as a blogger/photographer/content creator/I DON’T EVEN KNOW ANYMORE, but happy to know for a fact that I will be making more ‘Continue Reading’ buttons this year than previous years - and I’m really looking forward to it all.

2. Far away worlds
One of my absolute favourite things to do is travel to far away places and having a bit of an adventure, and I’m planning on taking way more time to do more this year. Last year I went on a few safaris and visited London and Ireland – and 2016 hopefully sees a few more trips abroad. I feel like starting your year with a trip to a place as amazing as the Transkei can only mean good things – here’s to a year of adventurous travel!

3. Cape Town adventures
Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to be living in a city as dynamic as Cape Town, with THESE beaches and THIS scenery. I love Cape Town for the rich diversity of culture and all the little quirks, like its incredible assortment of coffee shops and beautiful beaches, complete with the coldest water I’ve ever felt. I didn’t manage to share as many of my favourite spots in this city last year, and I’m keen to change this.
4. Hello, YouTube
I’ve been muttering about this for so long it’s actually getting embarrassing, but I promise, you'll be seeing my stupid face on YouTube soon.
5. Sharing the love
I’ve long been a believer that sharing really is caring, and that keeping knowledge of a skill to yourself, terrified that someone else will steal your tricks and unhappy that others haven’t worked as hard as you to acquire the same knowledge, is a terrible weakness. Two years ago, I started a blogging class with a close friend of mine which was an amazing experience, and this year I want to revisit that with an online version. I truly believe that knowledge should be free, and plan to blog/Youtube more about the tricks of this trade that I’ve picked up over the last few years.
Here’s to a new year full of hopes and dreams, tremendous success, and never growing up!
