How to look stylish with almost no effort

accreditation
To easily throw together a casual chic look this holiday, there are a few essential items to have in your wardrobe or suitcase this holiday:

1.  A casual dress that fits well and you are comfortable in. I’m loving the shirt-dress this season, but it can be any style you like.  The most important thing to look out for is a style that fits in your waist and flares at the hem to balance your curves.  Dresses that narrow at the hem often make a woman’s hips look wider than they are.

2.  A stylish pair of flats. Just because you are wearing flats, doesn't mean you can't make a style statement at the same time. Gladiator or flatform sandals (which is perfect for those of us who hate wearing heels) are very much on trend this season. Who said you can’t have comfort and style at the same time?

3.  A stylish sun hat. If you are going to be anywhere close to the sun, you need a sun hat for protection.  A Panama hat is a great stylish option that is easy to wear and packs easily too.  To pack without damaging your hat, place it upside down in your side case, place a few small clothing items inside the hat to maintain it’s shape and then pack clothing around it so it doesn’t get squashed.

4. A small cross-body handbag. You don't want to have to lug around a heavy handbag this holiday.  So why not treat yourself to a small, lightweight cross-body option (maybe a vintage leather bag?).  Put your essentials in it and you are good to go.  There are so many variations in stores, so select a basic colour that will go with most of your summer wardrobe.
