Usually I'm not much for winter weather. The rain, the layers and layers of clothing, the constant hand-washing of knits, the very wet socks in slightly less wet shoes - oh the humanity!
But I must say, by the looks of New York Fashion Week's street style, I am seriously reconsidering my love for summer.
Sure, summer is lovely. Picnicking on the regular, lounging by the pool or beach (this of course depends on your proclivity for sandy toes) and sundowners that last from 5pm till way past 8pm.
But also, summer is hot. Sweaty. And often, oh so often, you a) curse the common laws of public decency ("Would it really be that strange if I took off my dress, like, right here in the middle of this bar?") and b) question humanity as a whole ("What moron builds a basement bar with zero ventilation?!", you ask, while perspiration runs down your body like a second skin).
No, winter is nice. Think of the beautiful coats and the boots, oh the boots...
Now, if (in a perfect world) money was no object, I'd want to wear all of these ensembles this winter...
