Lately, we've been seeing a lot of daily beauty regimes debunked by international beauty bloggers and experts.

For example, a simple act like washing your hair with shampoo has become almost masochistic. You're doing it wrong! You're doing it wrong!

That's what they tell us.

For me, there is nothing more important than taking care of my skin. My main priority is to keep my skin (especially my face) clean and moisturised at all times.

From day to night and especially when I change climates or fly anywhere, my skincare regime is something I simple cannot live without. It's been with me since I was 16 after all!

But am I doing it right? That's the big question.

It seems that everyone who has seen the below beauty tutorial shared by mega beauty blog Into The Gloss of NYC facialist, Isabelle Bellis explaining how to properly wash and moisturise your face, is left completely obsessed!

Now, so am I.

I love how she explains that one’s skin should be treated like silk. Especially your face, neck and the super delicate layer of skin around the eyes and lips. Again stressing that you should never ever apply force to any area of your face, e.g. trying to unclog those pores or puncturing an unsightly pimple.

Taking care of your skin by washing and moisturising it should never be neglected or seen as a boring chore. As Bellis says, "it's a time of relaxation". Show your skin love, and it might just glow in return.

Like anything, healthy skin takes work. Time and effort needs to be applied in generous amounts. If you do, you might just get excellent results, who knows?
