Our writers published a hilarious story concerning a few reasons behind why they sometimes envy white girls for their hair. They drew Freudian inspiration to call the phenomenon "white girl hair envy". This was the response from our Facebook friends:
Lynda: We all want loooooong hair. Eish those shampoo adverts really get to me.
Anelisa: Lol why white? Because black girls hair is also beautiful and natural...
Even Indians are black but they have long and beautiful hair!!
Starrene: It’s not just 'white girls' that have long silky hair, I'm coloured and I have very long hair, but that's not the point.
You have to love what u have there's nothing wrong with ethnic hair each to its own I say!!!
Nqobile: I love my hair I get to do whatever I want to it and I haven’t used relaxer in 7 months.
I prefer weaves as this prevents my own hair from breaking, however, go ahead and envy white hair if you wish...
