Kanye calls Kim his WHAT?

It’s very common for musicians to write songs about their relationships, past and present. Sometimes these love songs are about regret and sometimes they are about happiness in new found love.

Kanye West is no stranger to sharing his emotional side with his music fans, especially after reality TV star Kim Kardashian accepted his marriage proposal. Since then the rapper has been more open about making reference to his fiancé in some of his songs and videos.

According to Gossip Cop, his latest reference can be found in a song titled I Won in which he is featured by fellow rapper, Future.

Over the heavy bass Kanye raps, “you the number one trophy wife so it’s only right to live the trophy life”. In the song, he also mentions Kim’s sisters, saying, “you could look at Kylie, Kendall, Kourtney, and Khloe. All your Mama ever made was trophies, right?”

On the first listen, the lyrics sound sweet but on the second listen you think wait, did he really just refer to her as an object? Every woman wants to be told how much she’s loved, and how beautiful she is but referring to your significant other as your possession isn’t very romantic.

In the past, Kanye has also called Kim a bitch. In 2012, he publicly stated that his song Perfect Bitch was dedicated to Kim.

And in his X-rated remix to Beyonce’s popular song Drunk in Love, Kanye explicitly describes how he fell in love with Kim after she gave him oral sex and he impregnated her mouth (his words, not mine).

Maybe we’re being a bit too pedantic about Kanye’s choice of words when it comes to Kim Kardashian. After all, this is the woman whose claim to fame is from a leaked sex tape.

They obviously have their own list of terms of endearment and if Kim isn’t complaining, why should we, right?
