Clear your schedules, guys! There's another Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston reunion happening, and you don't want to miss it.
The last time the friendly exes blessed us with a public reunion was at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January when photos of their cosy exchange – specifically a beaming Brad with his hand gripped around Jen’s wrist – nearly broke the internet.
According to body language expert Blanca Cobb, their encounter showed that "maybe he doesn’t want this moment to end . . .maybe there’s another thing he might want to say to her."
Well, if the Ad Astra actor has anything to get off his chest, he’ll get a chance to do it later this week when they reunite for a virtual live table reading of the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
The last time the former couple worked together was in
Friends in late 2001, when Brad guest-starred in the episode The One with The
Rumour as Will Colbert, a former classmate of Jen’s character Rachel Green, who
despised her as she had bullied him at school.
The pair tied the knot in 2000 before divorcing in 2005.
Theirs aren’t the only big names attached to the event which will stream live on Facebook and Tik Tok on 21 August and aims to raise money for CORE, a non-profit spearheaded by Brad’s pal Sean Penn, and REFORM Alliance both of which are committed to criminal justice reform and providing coronavirus relief in the US.
Other names on the roster include talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel and actors Morgan Freeman, Shia LeBeouf, Henry Golding, Matthew McConaughey, Sean Penn and Julia Roberts.
The virtual event is being described by organisers as an "unrehearsed, anything-goes table read" of Amy Heckerling's film which just passed its 38th anniversary.
Surprisingly Penn won’t be reprising his role as carefree
stoner Jeff Spicolo, but
he has said that he can’t wait to, “gather remotely for a night of laughs
with so many talented folks”.
