Ricky Martin has spoken out about the sexual allegations levelled at him.
The Livin' La Vida Loca singer recently released a statement on Twitter after a judge lifted a restraining order on him.
This after Ricky’s nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, withdrew his claims that he “feared for his safety” because the Puerto Rican songwriter refused to accept his decision to end their romantic relationship, continued calling him and stalked him outside of his home.
“The petitioner ceased his claims voluntarily; therefore the case was archived and no further procedures are required,” a judicial spokesperson said.
In a statement, Ricky’s lawyers said the claims were “never anything more than a troubled individual making false allegations with nothing to substantiate them.”
“Just as we had anticipated, the temporary protection order was not extended by the Court,” his lawyers wrote in a statement.
“The accuser confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure, and the accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter.
“The request came from the accuser asking to dismiss the case.”

The 50-year-old also said the last few weeks have been painful and devasting.
"I'm in front of the cameras today because I really need to talk in order for me to start my healing process,” the singer said in a video obtained by TMZ.
“For two weeks, I was not allowed to defend myself because I was following a procedure where the law obligated me not to talk until I was in front of a judge.
“To the person that was claiming this nonsense, I wish him the best. And I wish he finds the help so he can start a new life filled with love and truth and joy and he doesn't hurt anybody else.
“Thank God [these] claims were proven to be false, but I'm going to tell you the truth. It has been so painful. It has been devastating for me, for my family, for my friends. I don't wish this upon anybody.”
The father-of-four now hopes to focus on his music.
“I cannot wait to be back on stage. I cannot wait to be back in front of the cameras, and entertain, which is what I do best,” he said.
Ricky's statement comes just a few days after his brother, Eric Martin, has shed light on the nephew who has accused the 50-year-old singer of having an incestuous relationship with him.
In a Facebook Live video, Eric shared that Dennis Yadiel Sanchez – the son of Ricky’s half-sister Vanessa Martin – suffers severe mental health issues and has hurt not just Ricky, but other members of the family.
He explained the family had been struggling to cope with the 21-year-old’s issues and that he was “tired of being quiet” about it.
According to Eric, a female co-worker has a restraining order out against Dennis after he allegedly threatened to kill her. He also has a lengthy criminal record in his native Puerto Rico.
His lawyer, Martin Singer, flatly denied the allegations.
“Ricky Martin has never been, and would never be, involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew. The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting," he said.
"We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts."
Earlier this month, the Livin’ La Vida Loca singer was hit with a restraining order from a person claiming they'd suffered domestic abuse from the singer.
At the time, the petitioner’s name was withheld but Eric has since identified the person as Dennis.
In court papers, Dennis claimed Ricky had “exercised physical and psychological attacks” on him during their alleged seven-month relationship, which he says ended about two months ago.
He filed the restraining order because he claimed the pop star had not accepted the separation and had been seen loitering near his home on at least three occasions. He also alleged that Ricky had been “consuming large amounts of alcohol and drugs”.
Ricky is married to Syrian-born Swedish artist Jwan Yosef (37) and they have four children.
The singer responded to the allegation on social media. “The protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations,” he said.

At the time his legal team also told People they are “very confident that when the true facts come out in this matter our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated”.
Ricky was recently seen in Los Angeles on the set of his new Apple TV+ comedy series, Mrs American Pie, and is expected in a Puerto Rican court on 21 July. If found guilty he could face up to 50 years in prison.
