British actress Jodie Turner-Smith (37) has spoken out for the first time about her divorce from American actor Joshua Jackson (45).
The Queen & Slim star told The Times that every so often things don’t work out and one has to accept it and move on.
“Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working,” she said.
“And that’s okay. The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children.”

She added that she doesn’t see their marriage as a “failure” and is optimistic about the future.
“We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting!"
She suggested that everyone should pause at different moments in their lives and ask if they are being true to themselves.
"If the answer is 'no', then you have to make a move because I believe that there are visible scars from staying in places that are not good for us. And they don’t just affect us, they affect everybody around us.”

The couple, who met in 2018 at a party hosted by R&B singer Usher, married in secret a few years later before welcoming daughter Juno in April 2020.
She filed for divorce in October last year, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
An insider at the time said the actress had “decided she is done.”
“They are on very different paths in life,” the source told People. “It turned into an unhealthy marriage that made her unhappy.”
Joshua has since moved on and has been dating Hollywood actress Lupita N’yongo (40) while it's unclear if Jodie is single or not.
In December she was spotted holding hands with friend and photographer Nancy Gomez while out and about in Los Angeles.
