It's no secret that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s marriage has been filled with rumours of infidelity, open relationships, and "entanglements" – yet Jada doesn’t mind their daughter, Willow, having a relationship just like theirs.
Speaking in a recent podcast interview, the Girls Trip actress said that even though her marriage has had many highs and lows, it has allowed her to grow as a woman.
And that's exactly what she wants for her daughter.

Will (55) and Jada (52) have been married for close to three decades and shocked fans last year when they confessed that they’ve been separated since 2016.
Though their relationship didn't turn out to be the “fairytale” she’d hoped for, the Red Table Talk host says that she's still thankful to have the Bad Boys actor as her life partner.
“As much as Will and I have tried to get away from each other, it’s not happening,” she said.
“To know that I have someone by my side that, no matter what, is dedicated to learning how to love and learning how to love me, and vice versa. . . I don’t know what else you could ask for.”
Though they have no plans to divorce, Jada revealed that she's since moved out of the Calabasas mansion she shared with her husband.
“I bought myself a woman cave. Every woman needs a woman cave! The best thing is I don’t need to say to Will, ‘Are you OK with this couch?’. I got one that’s cream patent leather with gold studs on it. That expresses the heavy-metal side of me,” she said.
The couple have in the past spoken about how proud they are of their children, Jaden (25) and Willow (23), and how they encourage the pair to explore their own interests and passions.
It came as no surprise then that they supported Willow when she came out as bisexual and polyamorous.
"The history of marriage really irks me," Willow said in an episode of the Red Table.
"Just the history of marriage as a whole and what it has represented over the years, for women in particular. With polyamory, I feel like the main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you and not just stepping into monogamy because that's what everyone around you says is the right thing to do," she continued.
"So, I was like, 'How can I structure the way that I approach relationships with that in mind?'"

Over the past few years, the Whip My Hair singer has been rumoured to be dating musician Tyler Cole whom she worked with on her album The Anxiety in 2020.
In 2021, she was seen spending time with musician De'Wayne Jackson, and a few months later she attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney, Australia with Australian singer-songwriter Eddie Benjamin.
Willow is yet to confirm her relationship status, but her mom doesn't mind who she dates as long as her journey develops her self-love.
Asked by TV presenter Danielle Robay if she’d want her daughter to have the same type of relationship she has with Will, Jada responded, "If it's going to help her become the woman I'm becoming, yes".
