The 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) were meant to have taken place in Hungary but due to the ongoing pandemic featured performances and award presentations filmed everywhere from Seoul to Los Angeles.

And the same goes for the red carpet, with celebs posing in front of the MTV backdrop from a whole host of different locations, from London to LA to Rio de Janeiro. The show must go on, right?

The ceremony was hosted by British band Little Mix, with fourth member Jesy Nelson sadly missing the event due to a mystery illness.

Throughout the night, Lada Gaga, who lead the charge with seven nominations, walked away with Best Artist, H.E.R. won best Video For Good, Cardi B won the nights hip hop honours, G Flip took home the Best Australian Act and BTS won for Best Group.

Despite taking place virtually, the event saw stunning red carpet looks from presenters, performers and winners alike. Rita Ora, Winnie Harlow and Brazilian singer Anitta opted for the classic awards show style in lengthy dresses, while celebrities like Sam Smith and Alicia Keys kept it casual.

Check out some of the best outfits from the night...
