Is that the sound of wedding bells we are hearing for Taylor and Travis?
A Philadelphia jewellery designer is hoping to entice Travis into popping the question by offering the sportsman a $1 million (just over R17 million) diamond ring so he can propose in style.
The jeweller, Steven Singer (66), made the offer after rumours started swirling that Travis is planning to propose on their first anniversary in July.
However, the ring offering has less to do with Taylor and Travis than it does with pleasing Steven's 30-year-old daughter, Dana. She's a fourth-grade teacher and a super Swiftie, who has seen the pop star in concert on every tour since she opened for Tim McGraw in 2007.
“My daughter told me she’s very happy Taylor found love. I’m in the love business, so I thought, ‘Wow, I am going to be the world’s greatest father’ if they go through with it,” Steven says.
While his daughter loves Taylor, Steven likes Travis and is an enthusiastic listener of the New Heights podcast the American footballer hosts with his brother, Jason.

The ring he's come up with for the couple is a handmade Art Deco-style, 7.5-carat, emerald-cut natural diamond cast in platinum.
“It’s a classic design that will never go out of style and Taylor has these long piano fingers that this would sit well on," he says.
Before drawing up the design he sought his daughter's input. Dana suspects that the award-winning musician would want something “vintage and classic, but not over-the-top ostentatious.”
Steven also drew inspiration by studying photos of all six of Jennifer Lopez’s engagement rings.
He says his team sent the offer to Travis’ manager, but has not received a response. Steven Singer Jewellers also offered to donate $1 million to a charity of the couple’s choice if they offered to pay for the ring.
They might just take him up on his offer. Sources close to the couple say the NFL star has started contemplating designs and wants something "unique".

A source revealed that Travis has been toying with the idea of using some of the diamonds from his Super Bowl rings to craft the band, which could also feature a song lyric. It's not clear if the lyric would be from one of Taylor's tunes or a song by another artist that is meaningful to them as a couple.
"He isn't going to propose to her any time soon so no one should get those hopes up, but he has talked to family and friends about what he could do that would be special for an engagement ring," the source said.
"Travis’ career is a major focus for the next several weeks. He wants another Super Bowl ring, but it is safe to say that there is room to think about Taylor.
“And when it comes to Taylor, he loves her, sees a future with her and has thought about what a ring for her would be like as well. He wants to make sure it isn't something cheesy, but something more unique and that is a part of him that he shares with her to show that forever means forever."
