Fans of mega-star Sandra Bullock will have to wait just a little longer to see her on the big screen again.

While promoting her latest film, The Lost City, in which she stars alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Brad Pitt and Channing Tatum, she revealed she’s taking time off from acting to focus on being a mom to Louis (12) and Laila (10).

The actress confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that she's taking a step back from her acting career – but doesn’t know how long for, saying right now she needs to be “in the place that makes me happiest”.

Motherhood for Sandra (57) has been a dream come true and she says adopting Louis was the best thing that ever happened to her.

The little boy was taken in by the Hollywood actress when he was just three months old after Sandra witnessed the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina.

She says, “Katrina happened in New Orleans, and I knew. Like, just something told me that my child was there. It was weird. It was very, very weird.”

Like her older brother, Laila Bullock was also adopted in Louisiana in 2015, after spending the first three years of her life in foster care.

Sandra says she loves her relationship with her kids and watching them grow over the years.

“I’m just the mom," Sandra said of how her kids view her. “When I’m gone, I’m missed; when I’m there, I’m annoying, and that's exactly the way it should be.”

“I love who they are,” she continued. “Every day I get to see who they are. I am one of the lucky individuals that gets to be around my children all the time and see who they get to grow up and be. I couldn't be more proud,” said the Miss Congeniality star.

Her long-time boyfriend, Bryan Randall (57), whom she met while she was in the process of adopting Laila, is helping her raise the kids.

While appearing on the Red Table Talk last year, Sandra gushed, “I found the love of my life; we share two beautiful children- three children, his older daughter-it's the best thing ever.”

A source told Closer that Sandra and Bryan consider themselves a solid, committed family unit. “There’s no doubt he’s Louis and Laila’s dad.”

So what will Sandra do now that she’s not acting?

“Service their every need,” she said. “Their social calendar.”

“I take my job very seriously when I’m at work,” she said, noting it's a “24/7” job. “And I just want to be 24/7 with my babies and my family.”

“That’s where I’m gonna be for a while,” she added.
