This adorable doggy has the internet in stitches with her priceless expression.

Belle is a rescue dog born with a rare birth defect that causes the muscles in her head to be stretched back, leaving her with a permanently surprised look.

Fortunately for the Doberman cattle-hound cross, this rare condition doesn’t cause her any pain, but Belle's owner, Lieschen O'Connor (38) from Kansas in America, does have to regularly apply eyedrops for her furry pal whose condition causes her peepers to dry out.

Lieschen adopted the pooch in 2017 from the Lawrence Humane Society, a shelter that cares for homeless and abused animals.

It was Belle’s facial expression that made adopting her an easy decision, says the doting owner.

“She is gentle with other animals and great with kids. Belle is extremely sweet and a little goofy. If dogs could laugh, Belle would definitely laugh a lot!

“If people meet her in person, they usually comment that she is beautiful and has an expressive face.”

The 38-year-old project manager loved her four-legged furry friend’s expressions so much that she had to share them with the world.

She started a TikTok account for Belle, who now has more than 177 000 followers and 5,9 million likes on the platform.

In the viral videos, Belle is seen going on walks, tap dancing and having a good ol’ time playing in her backyard.

“She just looks surprised all the time,” one person commented.

“That sweet face would melt my heart every single day,” said another.

“She is so adorable. Every time Belle pops up on my screen it makes my day,” added a third user.

Lieschen has been overwhelmed by the support her pooch has been receiving.

“People online tend to think Belle is the cutest pup ever,” she says.

Belle is one of many dogs who have gone viral for their unique looks.

A pup named Chupete recently found fame after the Narices Frías shelter in Bolivia put out an ad hoping to find a family for the pooch.

The doggy has hydrocephalus, a build-up of fluid in the brain, and is cross-eyed with distinct eyebrows, which makes him appear angry all the time.

“Meet our beloved Chupete, a true testimony of God's love that gives him a second chance,” the post reads.

“Please if you can adopt a dog, take Chupete, he is a little miracle of God. Whoever wants to adopt him, it would be a gift.”

Social media users were quick to comment on the pup's adorable expression.

“I hope he finds a very loving home that gives him all the care he needs,” one person said.

“He is beautiful and those eyebrows characterise him as such a beautiful puppy,” said another.
