What do the Statue of Liberty and Marilyn Monroe have in common with the Mona Lisa, Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night and Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring? They’ve all been given a thoroughly modern remake – and it’s as much for the sake of saving the planet as it is in the name of art.
These works are the creation of Erik Jensen, a deaf artist from Utah in the US who has found a unique way to reuse old computer keyboards that usually clog landfills.
“I like to use something that people are connected to,” Erik says.
