We all know the saying about one man’s trash being another man’s treasure.
Now a group of students has come up with a nifty way to turn rubbish into a thing of beauty: a bright yellow two-seater coupé known as Luca that runs on electricity and was made entirely out of the junk that’s clogging up our planet.
Capable of a maximum speed of 90km/h, the car was created out of domestic food scraps, various types of plastic fished out of the ocean and even used nappies. The students, from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, call themselves TU Ecomotive.
