‘I feel violated’: Pretoria woman’s harassment nightmare after explicit emails were sent to her colleagues

The doctor’s waiting room is packed with patients but the middle-aged receptionist is upbeat. It’s mid-November and she’s looking forward to a well-deserved December holiday with her husband and two children after what’s been a crazy pandemic year.

Just before lunchtime the phone rings. It’s her friend Maggie*, also a receptionist at a private practice in the same hospital.
