He and Nina had their first wedding, a small civil ceremony, in St Moritz, Switzerland, last December. It was followed by another intimate ceremony, hosted by Vogue writer Alice Naylor-Leyland and her husband Tom, at their home in Cambridge, England.

Athens’ Orthodox Cathedral was the venue for the most recent nuptials, and after exchanging their vows, the glowing couple emerged onto the church’s steps where crowds of well-wishers had gathered.

Philippos was born in London after his family was exiled from Greece in 1967 following a military coup. In 1973 the Greek monarchy was abolished, but the royal family still use their titles.
