It’s been nearly a year since they said their I do's in what was dubbed the royal wedding of the year.
Now more congratulations are pouring in for Princess Rajwa and Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan after they announced they're expecting their first child.
"The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein are expecting their first baby this summer," a statement reads.
The royal baby will be the first grandchild of King Abdullah (62) and Queen Rania (53), and will receive the titles of His/Her Royal Highness and Prince/Princess, will be the first grandchild of King Abdullah (62) and Queen Rania (53).
"The Royal Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations to Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this occasion and wishes Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein and Princess Rajwa good health and joy as they welcome their baby,” the statement added.
The pair tied the knot in a glamorous ceremony that was attended by royalty from around the world, including Prince William and Princess Kate.
The couple chose to keep the details of their love story out of the public eye but have shared a glimpse into its beginnings.
"I met Rajwa through an old friend from school," Prince Hussein previously told Vogue Arabia. "I consider myself lucky because it's not every day you meet someone like Rajwa."
Although he didn’t specify the school, Princess Rajwa earned her architectural degree from Syracuse University in New York and visual communications from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Prince Hussein graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in England and Georgetown University in Washington DC.
The announcement of their pregnancy comes just two months after the death of Rajwa’s father, Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif.
His passing was confirmed by the Royal Hashemite Court in a statement uploaded to their website.

“The Royal Hashemite Court expresses its deepest sympathies and condolences to Their Majesties King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein, and to the Al Saif family in these difficult times,” the statement read.
