Royal duty can't start early enough!

Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco were recently seen on their best form, handing out presents at the palace’s annual Christmas gift-giving day.

The pair, who turned seven on 10 December, looked right at home as they gave parcels to children waiting patiently in line.

They were joined by their aunt Princess Stéphanie (56) and her children Louis Ducruet (29) and Camille Gottlieb (23).

The traditional event sees the Princes Palace welcoming Monegasque kids aged five to 12 for a leisurely afternoon of festive fun in the Court of Honour.

Entertainment included jugglers, a fire-eater, acrobatic elves and a Father Christmas.

Not present were the twins parents, Prince Albert (63) and Princess Charlene (43), who continues to recover from exhaustion at a private clinic outside the principality.

The former South African Olympic swimmer sought treatment last month shortly after her return from SA where she’d spent six months on a forced medical break that saw her unable to fly home to Monaco.

Her condition was made public by the palace a few days before Monaco Day on 19 November, which she was scheduled to attend.

In a statement, the palace said she couldnt attend as she was suffering from severe fatigue.

Charlene, whose frail appearance has sparked concern, underwent several medical procedures while in SA stemming from an ear, nose and throat infection she picked up in May when she arrived in the country to do conservation work.
