Running low on style ideas for the festive season? Whether it's a date, a cocktail event, an end of year bash or a day at the beach, we've got you covered.

This year local fashionistas and bloggers really upped the ante in terms of their wardrobe choices. We were lucky enough to have them share some of their daily looks with us on Women24 throughout the year.

And now we have selected a few of our favourite outfits, worn and styled by South African fashion people, to serve as your summer style inspiration. And, seriously, we want ALL of these magnificent outfits.

Go from the office to drinks: We adore how Crystal Kasper of New Hipster styled this hounds-tooth skirt, pairing it with a crisp white shirt.

Picnic attire: Amy Scheepers of Fancy Pants Blog wears this paisley dress like a dream.

Everyday casual: Raya Rossi of The Visual Journal looks killer in this tropical printed set. Swoon.

The alternative to the little black dress:  Pair stunning culottes with a crop for that cool androgynous feel like Thithi Nteta.

Pregnancy chic: Nastassja Rogero of MrsRogero looks radiant as can be in this perfect summer pairing of blue, white and tan.

Christmas party: Meg de Jong of Mind The Curves pulls off the perfect evening look as she combines a striped full-skirt with a plain black top and some heels.

Saturday breakfast: Go for denim overalls and a classic striped tee like Amy Scheepers of Fancy Pants Blog.

Date night: Mix it up by showing some back instead of cleavage, then pair it with black skinnies and heels like Raylene Harvey of Scarlet Aura.

Gone shopping: Attempting Xmas shopping this year? In a mall, nogals? Then you need a comfy, slouchy LBD and some hot adidas originals like Cape Town model Emma Jane Menteath from My Life In Pink.

The make-an-entrance dress: Opt for something designer (Loin Cloth and Ashes in this case), colourful and memorable like Marie Claire's Kelly Fung. We all need one dress like this.

Beach babe: We all need a lightweight black overall dress like the one worn by model, Summer Thomson in the pic below. Wear it over your bikini after a day at the beach and head straight for cocktails at Café Caprice.

Fresh-as-a-daisy workwear: Go for the white instead of the black suit. Thithi Nteta proves that the black pantsuit is soooooo outdated.

Festival fun: Peasant tops and dresses are the business this season. Add one to your wardrobe now for easy, breezy, running-around-in-flower-fields dressing like Raya Rossi.

The wear-me-to-a-wedding dress: This printed number is ideal for attending summer weddings. Go for a lively, colourful print and pair it with round sunnies as worn by Amy Scheepers of Fancy Pants Blog.
