If you haven’t seen Disney’s Sleeping Beauty yet, you are not only missing a part of your childhood, but you also probably have no idea who the evil and dastardly Maleficent is.
Well, the self-proclaimed Mistress of All Evil, curses the baby Princess Aurora after not being invited to her christening. (Seems a bit much, ne? She could have just written a vague, angry Facebook status about it.) The curse says the princess will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die before the sun sets on her 16th birthday.
She’s rather scary. Her name actually means doing evil or harm. Oh, and she can turn into an enormous dragon.
And now Angelina Jolie will be appearing as Maleficent in a movie by the same name, and damn does she look scary. Look at those eyes. They’re haunting!
The flick also features Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Juno Temple, and our very own Sharlto Copley.
The movie will be released early next year.
