Why Archbishop Desmond Tutu is absolutely delightful

I was fortunate enough to attend the launch of Archbishop Desmond Tutu's new children's book, Let There Be Light. With a packed-to-capacity audience in attendance, The Cape Town Central Library was abuzz with anticipation.

None more so than the children from all over Cape Town who were invited to attend.

Tutu's book, Let There Be Light, is a retelling of the bible's story of The Creation, and as part of his book launch, he made a special appearance at the Central Library, to read an excerpt from his version of the story.

When he first made his appearance, the little ones bubbled over with excitement, each child seemingly trying their best to out-scream the other.

The Archbishop's delight was palpable and had both adults and children in stitches. The children's response to his questions were nothing short of hilarious, and it certainly became clear to me that the youngsters were not shy to view their points.

Case in point when a little voice piped up from the back: "I can read better than you."

Tutu's only response was one of glee-filled laughter.

One of our favourite moments, however, was when a young girl, told him how adorable he is.

The "aws" from the crowd spoke volumes.

But, don't take my word for it.

Why not watch the video hereand see for yourself just how wonderful both he and the children were.
