Are you single, a greenie, and wanting to mingle?
Ecologically inclined ‘soulmates’ can now find each other through EcoDater.com, a global online dating site for green and environmentally conscious singles
The site, which bills itself as a meeting ground for green single men and women who care about living a holistic lifestyle closer to nature, offers members all sorts of tools to be part of the Eco Dater community and find like-minded individuals.
Members of the site include self-described environmentalists, vegans, vegetarians, organic farmers, yoga and outdoor enthusiasts, holistic healers, herbalists and activists.
"EcoDater.com is a very open-minded place," says Ryel Kestano, founder of EcoDater.
"We created EcoDater because it represents the best of what we see and experience in this world - community, connectivity, friendship, and a respect for the natural life, " he adds.
How to join
Two membership options are available. People can join at no cost and create a profile with a photo, search and contact other free EcoDater members and post EcoPolls to their profile.
Premium EcoDater members can post an unlimited number of photos, access advanced functions, contact all other EcoDaters, and have top priority in the search results. Premium EcoDaters also have access to the proprietary EcoMatch feature, an algorithm that matches members based on profile data.
A regularly updated blog features a selection of environmental news and maintains a comprehensive links section with links to related eco-friendly products, organisations and other relevant websites.
Members can also sign up for TreeMail, a bi-monthly newsletter with updates on new developments on the site and within the EcoDater community, as well as highlights from the blog and links section.
And in other good news…
EcoDater donates a portion of all membership revenue to charitable organisations, including the National Resources Defense Council, World Wildlife Fund, and American Forests.
