How recycling can help the community

accreditation

I am very proud to tell you that I always recycle.

Especially when it comes to those plastic yoghurt containers, milk containers and ice cream tubs. They cannot dissolve into the earth.

When it comes to plastic from plastic bags, frozen veggie bags and so on, I recycle into my orange bag weekly, and every day.

I have on many occasions helped out the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) when they have requested the ice cream tubs, for feeding little animals and birds.

When it comes to old used magazines, I use half to give to government hospitals for reading while you wait in the long queues. I know all about that all day waiting, as my husband and I have to go to a government hospital for treatment unfortunately.

The other half I put into the orange bags for recycling.

In my area, the garbage and recycle day is on a Monday!

I feel that if everyone did this then there would be less garbage on our streets, and very soon there will be NOTHING making its way into rivers, the sea, on beaches and elsewhere.

It does not take much schooling and it is no problem to collect.

I do it with pride!

My children, who live in Europe, have been recycling for many years and a far stricter regime is warranted.
