Palesa Mokubung was born in Kroonstad. After completing her studies she worked for renowned label Stoned Cherrie as their top designer. She left Stoned Cherrie to launch her own label, Mantsho, in 2004 and has since shown at Sanlam SA Fashion Week for three years and at the Design Indaba for two. The local fashion media have followed her with great interest with Tribute magazine featuring her on the cover and Cosmopolitan declared her as one of the country's top 30 women in 2006. Palesa supplies 12 Edgars stores nationwide and continues to surprise, impress and inspire.

Inspiration
Inspired by the desire to assist in the growth and creation of a vision which is both true and relevant to our country and its culture, Palesa passionately believes in the wealth of our arts. In addition, she is inspired by the incredible opportunities which await South Africa.
