This is after her hair stylist recently revealed to refinery29 that the 30-year-old demanded to rock faux locs for her role as Nine Ball in Ocean’s 8.
Speaking on the decision, Yusef Williams says Rihanna wanted to rock the hair to remain true to the characters roots, “we thought it would be strong. Her locs would maintain that tie to Africa. She'd keep her accent. She wasn't just going to be some American girl in this movie. Nine Ball is still a Caribbean girl that just happens to be in America.”
The hairstyle isn’t the first one that the Barbadian beauty has rocked effortlessly.
Over the years the Diamonds singer has experimented with various looks and hair colour with ease.
In 2005, when her debut single Pon de Replay dropped, she rocked a demure brunette hairstyle with long hair and looked like an innocent teenager.
Ahead of the release of her third album, Good Girl Gone bad, RiRi chopped off her hair and began to show off her edgy style.
The shorter the hair got the more experimental she became.
She’s rocked a mullet…
A Mohawk…
A buzz cut…
And this stylist bob cut with a blonde streak…
She’s never been afraid to try new styles and in 2017, Riri, real name Robin Fenty, cut her hair into a short bob and she rocked it.
Sometimes styling it curly other times rocking it in curls.
She’s also never been afraid to try different colours, from turquoise, red, green and a purple ponytail.
