A loving husband has captured the hearts of millions with a video showing him learning how to style his wife’s hair because she can no longer do it herself.

The Texas couple, known only as Andrew and Theresa, have been married for 45 years, the Daily Mail reports. Theresa suffered a stroke 18 years ago, which left her with limited mobility.

It all started when their children gave Theresa a hair salon voucher for Mother’s Day. The mother of three was so in love with her new hairstyle, she wanted to recreate it.

When she found herself unable to do it on her own, Andrew became determined to do it for her.

In the clip, shared by the Foundry Salon in New Braunfels, Texas, Andrew can be seen holding a hairdryer while Andrea Gomez, a hairstylist at the salon, demonstrates how to use a round brush to curl Theresa’s hair. The heartwarming video has been viewed more than nine million times.

“I just thought she was going to show me a few things with the hair blower, how to use it with the brush and stuff to keep it with nice volume,” Andrew told KENS 5 news. “And all of a sudden it ends up being a 45-minute lesson.”

Andrea says when Andrew asked her about all the products and she realised what he was trying to do, she couldn’t help but step in.

“It was at that moment you really saw the intentions of what he was truly after,” she told KENS 5 news. “He was asking me about the products and asking me about the blow dryer.”

Andrew says his and Theresa’s marriage has always been a give-and-take relationship. Theresa helped take care of the kids because he was often travelling for work. When she suffered a stroke years later and lost mobility, he stepped in to help her.

“You’ve just got to make things happen instead of just giving up.”

Raigan Kelly, who also works at the salon, filmed Andrea’s lesson and posted it on Facebook, where it’s now gone viral.

“Proof that true love really exists,” she wrote.

“She (Theresa) can no longer style her hair herself and her husband insisted on learning how to do it for her step by step, from products to the way you hold the brush and dryer.

“Truly one of the best things I’ve been able to witness in my life. Brought tears to my eyes, what an amazing man and what a lucky woman.”
