This special effects make-up creates illusions that look so real it will have you doing a double-take!
The idea behind the series of creations came to Lithuanian university student Monika Falcik (22) last October when she and her friends were working on ideas for Halloween costumes.
Monika experimented with an array of spooky options and decided to continue with her make-up designs even after Halloween – and she became a sensation!
The student’s social media channels have become so popular that she now has more than 100,000 followers.
Her creations make it look as though she has experienced everything from a heart-shaped hole in her head to a butterfly landing on her nose or a lizard crawling out of her mouth – but they’re just illusions.
The intricate designs can take the talented art student anywhere between two to three hours to create.
Monika says she finds inspiration from movies or even posts she discovered on social media.
Although she’s not studying make-up at university Monika hopes to continue working with the medium, potentially making a career out of it once she graduates.
“I was very happy seeing so many compliments and encouraging words under my photos. I never thought it could happen to me.
“I’m happy when I’m creating and I’m creating when I’m happy – I hope this circle never ends.
“After graduating from my university, I’d love to work as a make-up artist.”
