It seems eyebrow trends are much like dating trends – just when you think you’ve heard it all, another horrible one comes along.
But this one looks pretty cool.
The dipped eyebrow was first made fashionable by DJs and It Girls, Simi and Haze Khadra, The Metro reports. The two were seen at London Fashion Week with the tail ends of their brows dyed pink and black.
According to Allure, the sisters were styled by British makeup artist Bea Sweet, who shared how she dip-dyed their brows.
First, you need to comb your eyebrows into place, then fill them in with your usual brow product.
Draw with a coloured gel liner on the outer halves of your brows, dip a disposable brush in M.A.C’s Chromaline and comb through the coloured area.
"You have to be quite brave with the Chromaline when you comb it into your eyebrows," Bea explained to Allure. "The more product on the brush, the better. And treat it in the same way you’d apply a normal mascara to get full coverage."
Set your dyed brows with a clear brow gel and, as Bea says, consider yourself “dipped”.
But, as Cosmopolitan adds, the secret to making the look work is to keep the rest of your makeup minimal.
"The reason why dipped eyebrows work is everything else is kept minimal," says Bea.
"Skin is even and matte, we haven’t over-contoured, there aren’t any false eyelashes, and there aren’t any distractions happening on the face."
Except for the colourful streaks above your eyes, that is.
