Your face is most likely the last place you'd consider getting inked. However, millennials are going nuts for this new 'flaw'/ 'beauty trend'.
I introduce to you... freckle tattoos! Tattooing fake freckles onto one's face has become the new craze.
And, of course, freckles aren't a flaw or a trend - it's just been packaged as such over the years. But the requests are streaming in and beauty clinics are giving customers what they want.

The good news is that freckle tattoos seem to be a safer alternative to naturally acquired freckles (and a far less conspicuous way to decorate your visage than Gucci Mane's ice cream tattoo), as they don't come with the extra disadvantage of skin problems associated with sun damage.
WATCH: Everything you need to know about microblading
According to a Cape Town professional microblading and permanent makeup artist, Lisa Straker of Lisa Angel Permanent Make-up, the procedure is carried out with a tattoo gun which has a cluster of five needles inside.
This is because freckles are round and can therefore not be filled in the same way the fine strokes of microbladed brows are.
While faux freckles are tattoed on in pretty much the same way as an ordinary tattoo, they do not last as long - they last between one and three years (depending on your skin type, lifestyle, etc.).
Would you go as far as tattooing on faux freckles to achieve this look? Or are we fetishising those with naturally freckled faces? Let us know.
