This nail trend is bugging out the internet – literally!
The Instagram account Nail_sunny recently shared a video showing an artist incorporating little insects into a manicure with their more than 1,7 million followers.
In the step-by-step video, the nail artist starts with covering nails in glue. She then places dead mosquitos on the nails while the glue is wet.
The artist then pats the insect down with a brush and puts the nails under a UV light to dry.
Some of the Russian salon’s followers loved the new trend, while others called it “disturbing”.
“Why do you have to kill insects just to do your nails? Don’t you see it’s unnecessary and cruel?” said one follower.
“Kinda cute & eww at the same time . . . can you rock it?” said another.
