Sisley
Now this one is perhaps one of the greatest products ever invented. It comes at a steep price though. But if you can afford something luxe, and crave something filled with rich active anti-ageing ingredients, I would definitely say this is the one to splurge on. The Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask, R2010.
Also try their skin analysis test, now available for free at counter at selected department stores.
Jennifer Lopez bags
Currently in store, this JLo wallet is classic, with a bit of edge as it features some pretty hardware and faux snakeskin. Love! R799 at Frasers.
Lush
Dream Cream is worth all the hype. Light, cooling and easily absorbed into the skin, the combination of calming chamomile, organic, extra virgin olive oil and creamy, Fair Trade, organic cocoa butter quickly soothes and softens. Yaaas. R235.
GORGEOUS Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay
If you loved the Gorgeous Pinot Noir Chardonnay, you (and your mom) will adore this sparkling version. Get it to celebrate Mother's Day in style. Shop it for R149 at most liquor stores and at Makro.
Pichulik x Missibaba
Local jewellery brand Pichulik has teamed up with local leather guru Missibaba to create a collection that is so covetable it almost feels like a crime that I don't own one of the pieces as of yet. Time to treat myself?
Elizabeth Arden
We are so obsessed with this Limited Edition Beautiful Color Moisturising Lipstick in Red Door Red by Elizabeth Arden. R295.
MaxFactor
NEW! Get your mom her favourite shade in matte. Max Factor Lipstick, the Colour Elixir Velvet Matte collection, R155.95 at Clicks.

Clarins

Life Day Spa
Send your mom for a peel and reveal! Of the good sort.

There is such a negative connotation attached to the word ‘chemical peel’. But, as a matter of fact, having a peel done regularly is actually quite good for the skin.
Glycolic acid, derived from sugar-cane, is one of the most well-known superficial peeling mediums on the market. Research has shown that a glycolic acid peel creates the least amount of inflammation in the skin, and can be used on all skin types and skin concerns.
This acid has a small molecular structure that can be readily absorbed by the skin. Once absorbed, the acid dissolves the bonds that hold the dead cells together. Once loosened, dead cells are able to exfoliate off the skin, revealing a more glowing and radiant skin.
The Optiphi® Glycolic Acid Skin Rejuvenation Peel at the Life Day Spa is an excellent lunch-time peel.
