Wedding stories are my favourite.
Wedding stories from our readers? Even more so.
From tales of the first meeting (interestingly enough, not all of them hit it off at first), to the romantic and swoon-worthy proposals, I’m almost always moved by the stories of how it all comes together.
The best part, though? Witnessing the utter joy on the faces of the couples and their guests when their big day finally arrives.
And oh, gorgeous pictures for days.
This year we’ve received some beautiful photos from our readers. Here, we highlight a selection of the submissions.

We love this couple’s gorgeous bushveld-inspired wedding and photo shoot. The couple, who both share a love of adventure and first met in France, planned their wedding while they were in the UK, and both had their heart set on a South African wedding.

Without a doubt, one of the most inspiring and beautiful wedding stories today, Tracy Todd, motivational speaker and quadriplegic married her sweetheart, Roy in a beautiful ceremony that captured the hearts of her entire community earlier this year.
We’ve had the wonderful opportunity to interview her about her big day and you can read all about it here.
Anique and Ryan

Anique and Ryan first met back when they were teens, but the love between the two of them didn’t happen overnight. It took a few years of bumping into each other at a mutual friend’s parties before Ryan finally asked her on a date. He proposed during a picnic and the couple eventually wed in a romantic wedding ceremony at Durbanville Hills Wine Estate.

Trisha and Rishael initially added each other on BBM but only started chatting when Trisha was on the verge of deleting him from her contacts. Good thing she didn’t though, because it wasn’t long before they started dating and that lead to a trip down the aisle.
Here’s how they celebrated their big day.
