Forget about a ring box, people are putting their engagement rings in avocado!

Millennials are taking the lead with this style of proposing, where a seedless avocado is used as a ring box. The hashtag #avocadoproposal has been trending on Instagram.

The trend, which seems to be growing, began in 2016 when one Taylor Selby, a “yogi” and self-confessed avocado fan, posted a picture of himself and his fiancée in which he’s on one knee with an over-ripe avocado in his hand.
