We all know that without the perfect wedding dress your wedding day will be sorely lacking. For some brides the more luxurious the gown, the better.

If you are one of those brides, the following dresses were made just for you.

This gorgeous Galia Lahav ballgown

This beautiful designer gown costs about R117,390 and is available for import from StillWhite.co.za (a site that features both new and second hand weddings and ships worldwide).

The dress is embroidered with delicate jewels, has hidden pockets (so awesome if you want to keep some emergency products on hand) and lace detail. A memorable gown for a memorable day, right?

For the bride willing to fork out R152, 610 for her wedding dress, this ivory and lace A-line Vera Wang (presumably second hand) gown is perfect.  This strapless and floor-length number is for the bride who wants a classic, but classy look and features embroidered beading on the bodice of the dress.

The feather shawl delight

This Kobus Dippenaar design is to die for. It comes with a feather shawl (see the image below) and will set you back a cool R130 000. If there’s one local designer who is at the top of his game when it comes to wedding dress designs, it is Kobus.

It features a gorgeous tulle skirt, and was made using Chantilly and soft lace. The 3D appliqué flowers on the dress was made using ribbon and silk wool and Swarovski crystals was lovingly threaded into the gown. With all that hand beading, it’s no wonder this beauty is on the high-end scale.

The gown pictured above is custom made by Kobus and can be requested with or without the shawl.

For those looking for a Kobus Dippenaar dress that’s less expensive, you can try the Anna Georgina range, which is the retail range that Kobus designs for. We’ll be featuring a few of the gowns in our next bridal dresses feature, so stay tuned for more.
