Many friends are made on the playground, but for these couples the jungle gym brought more than just #bestie status. It brought them love.

Should've put my swag on when I had the chance.

Matt and Laura Grodsky

When 3-year-old Matt met his classmate Laura at preschool he already promised to marry her. At 3 years old!

Almost 20 years later, he did.

The best part: Two years ago he proposed at the place where it all began: outside their class at preschool in Phoenix, Arizona. Of course, she said 'yes'.

Laura told The Huffington Post that she remembers her husband being a 'total goofball', although Matt recalls one of his earliest childhood memories was declaring his love for her in front of all his classmates, writing, “I was enamored with Laura as a child, and I still am to this day.”

Although they lost contact for a few years after school, they eventually reconnected through a mutual friend and hit it off all over again. Let’s all instantly melt into mush mode.

Justin and Amy Pounders

They found each other on an online dating site in 2014, more than 30 years after being together in preschool. When he casually mentioned he always liked her name because it's the name of his first preschool crush, the truth quickly came to light, he told Cosmopolitan.com.

Justin's mother also uncovered evidence of her son's childhood crush when she found a preschool picture of the couple sitting next to each other in their class picture.

After two years of dating, the next step was met with another beautiful plan: a proposal on The View.

The couple, now both 34, tied the knot in their hometown of St. Petersburg. Amy donned an elegant gown with soft curls and custom-made wine glasses with palm tree prints at the wedding were reminiscent of the classroom in which they first met.

These once seesaw buddies are adorably bonkers about each other.

Shameeka and KaSeium Berry

The couple met in 1982 when she was six and he just nine. They told the New York Daily News that they went from playing tag in Crown Heights to dating in their teens. The couple married in 2004 and currently live in New York with their two daughters.

Yonaton and Aviyah Atkin

Yonaton and Aviyah's mothers were best friends and fell pregnant around the same time. The couple were partners in their Kindergarten graduation and Aviyah told Business Insider that she developed a crush on her husband in fifth grade, but kept it to herself. One year later, Yonaton made the first move and as they say: the rest is history.

Their special day seemed to be a dash of fun and was as pretty as a picture. View highlights of their wedding day below or watch the entire day's events here.

Sam Maccarone and Jessica Burzichelli

Sam and Jessica, both from New Jersey, met and dated since they were 10 years old. When Sam realised that the connection they had was unmistakable, he decided it was time to pop the question.

In an article for Buzzfeed News he said he wanted the proposal to be outside of the box. And it was.

The video has over 27 million views. The couple wed in March last year, and their magical day seemed nothing short of exquisite.
