How we met:
Greg and I first met on 22 March 2008 at a friend's wedding in East London. We had an instant connection and have been together ever since.

How he proposed:
Greg proposed on 23 December 2014. We were on holiday in East London at his parents house.
He's quite a fitness bug and woke me up at 5am for a beach run. I was less than impressed but complied. We started the run along the beach and it hadn't been 5 minutes until he said we should turn around.
I had absolutely no complaints and did just that. I was devastated when he pointed to a massive sand dune and said we are going to run up here a few times. He gestured for me to run ahead and I did.

I reached the top and turned around. He was right behind me on his knee with a ring box and a beautiful sunrise in the background. I said... YES!
About the wedding:
We started planning the wedding almost immediately.
We got married at Umhlali Methodist Church in Ballito on 14 May 2016.

Our venue was Simbithi Country Club. We were blessed with perfect weather and NO WIND.
Greg was pretty easy going with our budget. There was, however, a little eyebrow raise when a certain someone booked chairs that cost R8000. We managed to get over that little hurdle. (The chairs looked amazing).
Our photographers were excellent. Going into this we had absolutely no clue. They were so supportive and the advice that they gave was invaluable. They even helped us set up the timeline of events for the entire evening.

We really had an awesome time. It was a small wedding of about 75 guests - with most of our friends and family travelling to Ballito from our hometown of East London.

We tried to save costs, so I did my own invites and our own save the date video.
