If you’re all about trying to copy Meghan Markle’s style then you’re in luck – the rumoured R4.9 million ring has been replicated at a fraction of the cost.
The Buckingham Palace Statement Ring isn’t designed by Prince Harry, but we’re sure it will still turn some heads whether you’re going to a fancy event or donning a Meghan Markle costume for Halloween.
The three crystal ring is set on a palladium plated metal adjustable band, and can be worn as a set with matching earrings and pendant, And the best part? It only costs £30 (R557).

Seeing as in South Africa the average spend on an engagement ring is between R30 000 and R40 000 according to BusinessTech, this really isn’t a bad option at all. But we don’t blame you if you want a more expensive replica of the ring too.
There are a few differences between the original ring and the replica however.
Meghan's ring was created by Cleave and Company, better known as the official jewellers of Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Her ring had a yellow gold band, which Prince Harry purposely chose since it's her favourite.
It's also a tradition for the family to use Welsh gold for the band. And of course, Meghan's ring features a centre jewel from Princess Diana's own collection, which has been described by several professional appraisers as "priceless."
So no, this ring won’t be one of a kind and it won’t feature real diamonds from Botswana, but it is still pretty nonetheless.
